Shine the Way Tours

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between Shine the Way Tours (“the Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) and you (“the Client,” “you,” or “your”) for the booking and provision of tours and related services.

By booking a tour with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

1. Bookings and Payments

1.1. All bookings must be confirmed in writing (email or online form).
1.2. A deposit of 50% is required to secure your booking. The balance must be paid no later than 2 days before the tour date.
1.3. If booking within 1 days of the tour date, full payment is required upon confirmation.

2. Cancellations and Refunds

2.1. Cancellation by the Client:

• More than 30 days before the tour: 100% refund (less transaction fees)
• 2 days before the tour: 50% refund
• Less than 1 days before the tour or no-show: No refund

2.2. Cancellation by Shine the Way Tours:
We reserve the right to cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, insufficient participants, safety concerns). In such cases, a full refund or alternative option will be offered.

3. Amendments

3.1. Requests to change your booking (dates, number of guests, itinerary) must be made in writing at least 7 days in advance.
3.2. Any amendments are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

4. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering personal liability, medical expenses, cancellation, and lost luggage. Shine the Way Tours will not be held liable for any costs incurred due to inadequate or no insurance.

5. Liability and Risk

5.1. All activities are undertaken at the client’s own risk.
5.2. Shine the Way Tours is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or irregularity caused by acts or omissions of third-party service providers.
5.3. Clients are responsible for their personal belongings at all times.

6. Health and Safety

6.1. Clients must inform us of any medical conditions, dietary restrictions, or special requirements prior to travel.
6.2. We reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone who poses a risk to themselves or others.

7. Children and Minors

Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Some tours may have age restrictions based on safety or activity requirements.

8. Force Majeure

We shall not be held liable for delays, changes, or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, strikes, weather, government actions, pandemics, or other emergencies.

9. Photos and Media

Shine the Way Tours may take photographs or videos during tours for promotional use. Please notify us in advance if you do not consent to your image being used.

10. Jurisdiction and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts.
